High above Napa Valley, at 1,000 feet on the rugged slopes of Howell Mountain, this single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon draws its power from volcanic soils and 15-year-old vines rooted in stone and sun. Fermented in small stainless steel lots for purity, and aged in new French oak, it is mountain Cabernet with a velvet soul. Its shining dark cherry core is edged with eggplant hues. On the nose, a bold burst of cola and cinnamon unfurls into notes of licorice, tar, and forest balsam. The palate opens fresh and silky, revealing layers of cut black fruit, ripe currant, and roasted chestnut. Elevated in every sense - refined, resilient, and resolutely Howell Mountain.
